NBA Rumors: Pat Riley Says Chris Bosh's Miami Heat Career Is Over

NBA Rumors: Miami Heat president Pat Riley confirms that Chris Bosh‘s career with the Heat is over
From all indications, after failing his team physical last week it looked like we’d never see Chris Bosh in a Miami Heat uniform ever again.
Monday, of media day ahead of the opening of training camp, Heat president Pat Riley confirmed it. And he didn’t beat around the bush.
Riley flat-out said that Bosh’s career with the Miami Heat was over. Period.

We are not,” Riley said in his office at AmericanAirlines Arena. “I think Chris is still open-minded. But we are not working toward his return.
“We feel that, based on the last exam, that his Heat career is probably over.”
Asked if he felt Bosh’s NBA career was over, as well, Riley said, “that’s up to him.”
After what transpired Friday, when it was announced that Bosh did not pass his team physical, this should come as no surprise. The biggest thing is, the Heat are done with Bosh. Whether he wants to try to make a comeback – again – falls on his shoulders.
The biggest question in that effort, of course, is whether or not he’ll be able to find another team that would be willing to clear him.
Evidently, that’s going to be awfully hard to find. And based on what Riley said in his press conference, it’s pretty clear that there’s no confidence that Bosh will ever be cleared to play basketball in the future.
Either way, this is a sad situation for every party involved. The fact that there’s a clear rift between the Bosh camp and the Heat just makes this transition even worse. It’s really a shame.
Bosh is done with the Miami Heat. And quite possibly with the NBA.
