NBA player reactions to Karl firing

Quite a few people were surprised by the Denver Nuggets' decision to fire George Karl on Thursday morning. Among those surprised by the decision to let go the same man who was named 2013's Coach of the Year just 29 days ago were several NBA players. Here is a look at some of the shocked tweets that were posted around the league after news came down about Denver's surprising decision.

Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried:

Faried was also referencing Nuggets ex-GM Masai Ujiri, who walked away from Denver to take a better-paying job with the Toronto Raptors.

All of the above tweets are from or about current Nuggets players, but there was shocked feedback from numerous others around the league as well.

The ever-gracious Karl took to Twitter himself to thank the city of Denver for all of the love it has showed him over the past nine seasons.
