Dwyane Wade was fined $25,000 for "making an inappropriate gesture," the league announced on Friday.
The incident occurred with 26.3 seconds remaining in Chicago's 105-99 win over the Celtics. Wade hit a huge shot to help seal the win, then made a throat-slashing gesture.
Wade likely knew that a fine was on the way, and issued an apology earlier in the day.
