NBA confirms Raptors' Biyombo is suspended for first game of 2016-17 season

The Raptors were eliminated by the Cavaliers in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals, but had the series gone to a Game 7, Toronto's Bismack Biyombo would have been unavailable after earning enough flagrant foul points to warrant a one-game suspension.
Even though the playoffs have ended for the Raptors, Biyombo still needs to serve that suspension. And the NBA confirmed on Thursday that Biyombo will indeed be suspended for the first game of the 2016-17 regular season.

The only thing we don't know at this point is which team will be forced to open the season with Biyombo out of action. Toronto's high-energy big man is an unrestricted free agent this summer.
