Nash, Meeks out for Lakers

CLEVELAND (AP) Lakers guards Steve Nash and Jodie Meeks sat out Los Angeles' game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night.
Nash plated for the first time since Nov. 10 on Tuesday night in a loss at Minnesota. After missing 34 games because of a nerve problem in his back, the two-time NBA MVP had seven points and nine assists in 25 minutes. He's expected to play Friday night in Philadelphia.
Meeks sprained his right ankle a little over a minute into Tuesday's game and didn't return. He's expected to miss at least two games.
The Lakers have lost seven straight and 13 of 15.
Guard Steve Blake was in the starting lineup despite rupturing an eardrum against the Timberwolves. He hadn't played since Dec. 10 because of an elbow injury.
Forward Jordan Hill suffered a strained neck Tuesday when he was elbowed in the head by teammate Chris Kaman and didn't return. Lakers coach Mike D'Antoni didn't know if Hill would be available against the Cavaliers when he spoke to reporters before the game.
Guard Jordan Farmar started, his first action since suffering a torn hamstring Dec. 31.
Kobe Bryant has been limited to six games because of injuries and Pau Gasol could be out until the All-Star break because of a strained right groin.
