Michael Jordan issues statement on Charlotte unrest

With the city of Charlotte in a state of emergency following two nights of violent protests, Charlotte Hornets owner Michael Jordan issued a statement on Thursday afternoon offering his condolences to the family of Keith Scott, who was shot by a police officer on Tuesday, and then addressing the civil unrest in the city that ensued: 

This isn't the first time Jordan has spoken out to help address police-related shootings. Earlier this summer, in a interview with The Undefeated, he pledged $1 million each to the Institute for Community-Police Relations and the NAACP Legal Defense Fund:
