Mark Cuban denies Mavs tried to sign Steve Nash this offseason

Earlier this offseason, it was reported that the Dallas Mavericks apparently tried to convince Steve Nash to come out of retirement in order to play alongside Dirk Nowitzki once again.
Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is denying that altogether, though.
Nash, who played six years for the Mavericks, recently retired due to back injuries. At 41 years old, the comeback trail may have been difficult. Nash ended up joining the Golden State Warriors staff as a consultant instead.
But Cuban, who once balked at paying Nash in free agency, denies that the team tried to talk the future Hall of Fame point guard out of retirement, according to Mavericks beat writer Dwain Price:
#Mavs owner Mark Cuban on if his team tried to sign ex-Mavs PG Steve Nash this summer: "No. I don't know where that came from.''
