Luke Walton faces Warriors for first time in regular season

Former Golden State Warriors assistant coach Luke Walton will have his Los Angeles Lakers ready to play the Golden State Warriors on Friday night.
There will be a familiar face on the other end for the Golden State Warriors on Friday night. Even though they have seen him in preseason already, the team will take on Luke Walton and the Los Angeles Lakers.
After his successful stint as an assistant and running the team in Steve Kerr’s absence, Walton became the coach that everyone in the league was after. Los Angeles made the wise move and correctly paired him with the young talent that they have on the roster.
Through five games, the Lakers have been playing hard and are coming off of a huge win on the road over the Atlanta Hawks. They’ll face their biggest test in the Warriors, but keep in mind they were able to catch the Warriors on an off day at home last season.
The good news is that the Warriors are clicking and are firing on all cylinders after blowing out the Oklahoma City Thunder and winning four games in a row. They’ll be a little tired on the back-to-back, but they have to be ready for Walton throws at them.
He knows the team and he knows what Steve Kerr likes to do. It will be interesting to see if the team tries to disguise any sets on offense, but they have so much talent that they can almost do as they please. They’ll put it on the Lakers to try and stop them, but don’t be surprised if Walton’s Lakers give the team a fight.
