LeBron says he'll 'be ready' for next game

LeBron James says he does not plan to allow the aftereffects of a hard fall to keep him out of any Miami Heat games.

The two-time NBA MVP tells The Associated Press that he expects to play when the Heat visit the Detroit Pistons on Friday night. He was shaken up in the final seconds of Miami's win over Phoenix on Tuesday after colliding with the Suns' Grant Hill.

James was on defense and sprinting when he apparently did not see Hill trying to set a screen. Both players tumbled to the court, and James was down for nearly 2 minutes before being helped to his feet.

James says he's ''been better - but I'll be ready.''

James made the comments at a Miami Heat Charitable Fund event attended by players, executives and some family members.
