Lance Stephenson trying hard to get in Heat's heads & huddles

Updated Mar. 5, 2020 1:27 a.m. ET

Lance Stephenson is taking a page out of the Metta World Peace playbook, trying hard to get in the Miami Heat's heads, huddles and hot fantasies —€” and maybe make some headlines and highlight shows, too.

First he was flopping so hard that he inspired Internet memes, then he was calling out LeBron James for his trash talk — or lack thereof.

On Wednesday night he took it a step further in Game 5, at one point blowing in LeBron's ear — presumably to cool him off.

And you can't argue with the results: James had the worst playoff game of his career, finishing with seven points on 2-of-10 shooting in the Indiana Pacers' season-saving 93-90 win.

And Stephenson had more memes and ammo for the Internet.

After the game, James was asked if he'd ever thought of blowing in anyone's ear as a defensive tactic.

"I blew in my wife's ear before," James said while laughing along with Dwyane Wade. "That was definitely a defensive tactic."

Chris Bosh called Stephenson's antics childlike.

Stephenson shrugged it off as "Just playing ball" and James did too.

“All the extra [stuff], whatever Lance wants to deal with, I don’t really care about that,” James said. “Lance is Lance. He’s going to do what he needs to do to help his team win."

Stephenson was doing plenty in Game 5. Check him out joining the Heat huddle:
