Lakers' Kobe Bryant, D'Angelo Russell to sit out vs. Warriors

Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant (sore right shoulder) and rookie point guard D'Angelo Russell (sore throat) will sit out Tuesday's game against the Golden State Warriors, according to Mike Bresnahan of the Los Angeles Times:
Rookie swingman Anthony Brown is expected to start in Bryant's place. Another option could be moving Julius Randle or Brandon Bass into the starting lineup and moving Larry Nance Jr. to small forward, according to the Los Angeles Daily News.
Bryant has missed the past two games with his injury, which he re-aggravated on Dec. 17 when he dunked on Houston Rockets big man Clint Capela. The injury could bother him for the rest of the season, according to Lakers coach Byron Scott.
Russell's sore throat forced Scott to send him home early from practice on Monday and shootaround on Tuesday. Russell was seen by a doctor in the afternoon on Tuesday and was subsequently ruled out of the night's game.
The last time the Lakers and Warriors faced, Golden State crushed Los Angeles 111-77 at Oracle Arena. Without two of their top five players this time around, this one should be ugly, too.
