Lakers coach Byron Scott says Michael Jordan stands 'no chance' in golf

If you want to be the greatest, you have to top the greatest. It's an aphorism that impacts much of what the Los Angeles Lakers do on and off the court. Kobe Bryant, for one, aims to go down as the greatest ever, even better than Michael Jordan. And it appears that Lakers coach Byron Scott has his sights set on Jordan, too -- but on the putting green.

On Friday, Scott posted a video on Instagram in which he challenged Jordan to a round of golf. And Scott didn't issue said challenge lightly. Instead, there was some trash-talk that would make Jordan proud:

"If we met up today, he’d have no chance. I would wear him out. MJ, if you are hearing this, if you run across this somewhere, and you want some of B-Scott, let me know. My golf game is tight. Realize that!"

Scott signed off with a smile, but the gauntlet has been thrown down. Will Jordan accept the challenge? Is there an NBA rule against the two men gambling draft picks on the course? These are the important questions now.
