Kobe's newest sneaker finally gives Lakers fans a reason to cheer

Nike's decision to nickname Kobe Bryant's latest signature shoe the "Last Emperor" was a perfect move. The Los Angeles Lakers icon is currently playing through his 20th and final NBA season, still fighting on as the big-shot-taking competitive volcano he always was.
Bryant's 11th shoe honors his legacy as much as any sneaker can:
His rule is legendary. His power, absolute.

It's elegant and understated, with a black, white and gray colorway that can't go wrong with just about any outfit. Would you like to wear these with a tuxedo to your own wedding? Sure, go ahead!
The timing of this release couldn't be any better. Bryant scored a season-high 38 points on Tuesday night, leading the Lakers to their first win in 11 games. Otherwise, this season has been a nightmare, and Black Mamba fans everywhere were just waiting for something like this to take their mind off the pain.
The "Last Emperor" might be the best thing the Lakers have going for them right now.
