Kobe: I would've smacked Mike Rice

There aren't many — any? — people around who weren't offended by Mike Rice's treatment of his players. Kobe Bryant says he would have gone on the offensive with the abusive coach if he had a basketball thrown at him.

"I would have smacked the hell out of him," the Lakers star told Jim Rome.

Bryant moves to the front of the line of people who were mortified by Rice's actions, which originally earned him a fine and suspension in November but cost him his job last week when they became public.
