Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal haven't been Lakers teammates for more than a decade. The Lakers haven't shared a real rivalry with the Sacramento Kings in almost as long.
And yet Tuesday night, it all fell back into place so effortlessly.
Shaq and Kobe teamed up to troll Chris Webber and the Kings one last time, with Shaq setting it up and Kobe knocking it down.
Following the Lakers' 107-100 win over Memphis, the TNT studio team talked to Kobe, who had 20 points, and Shaq quickly brought up Game 7 of the 2002 Western Conference finals.
"C-Webb's sitting next to me, he keeps saying we cheated 'em in that Game 7," Shaq said, which prompted Webber to accuse him of "startin' stuff."
Welp, leave it to Kobe to finish stuff.
"It just is what it is, man," Kobe said. "The people that win history's battles are the ones who write history."
And yet it never gets old.
