Knicks' Lin won't play vs. Heat

Linsanity will not be returning to Miami.

Knicks coach Mike Woodson ruled out point guard Jeremy Lin Tuesday for the remainder of the first round series against the Heat.

Woodson said doctors do not believe Lin's knee is healthy enough for game action, even if the Knicks can win Games 5 and 6 to extend the series to a seventh game on Sunday.

The Knicks go into Game 5 in Miami Tuesday night without their top two point guards from the regular season in Lin and Baron Davis, who suffered a severe right knee injury in Sunday's win at Madison Square Garden.

Lin, who came from obscurity in February to seize the starting point guard spot, has been out since undergoing left knee surgery in late March. He has been working out over the past week, raising Knicks fans' hopes that he could return against Miami.

Woodson will start veteran Mike Bibby in Game 5, with Toney Douglas as the backup, as the Knicks look to send the series back to New York.
