New Jersey Nets rookie forward Damion James is expected to be sidelined up to two months after having surgery to repair a broken right foot.
Nets general manager Billy King says James had surgery on Monday at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. Surgeons repaired a broken fifth metatarsal by inserting a screw in James' foot.
James will be on crutches for two weeks and out 6-to-8 weeks. The former Texas Longhorn averaged 3.1 points and 2.9 points in 17 games.
