James Harden's first signature shoe looks nothing like the leaked version

After more than a year of waiting, we finally know what James Harden's first signature shoe looks like. And fortunately for the Houston Rockets star and Adidas, those leaked photos you saw earlier this summer were far from the finished product. Check out the James Harden Volume 1 in its Rockets-themed splendor:
The debut colorway, "Pioneer," launches at various retailers on Dec. 3 and will cost you $140:
In case you forgot, here's the supposedly leaked version of Harden's shoe that the internet roasted back in August:
It was clear then and it's even clearer now that the leaked version was an early prototype that someone decided to pretend was the real version (unless, of course, we're going to get a work-boot version of Harden's Volume 1 sneaker down the line still, which I doubt).
Along with the initial Pioneer colorway, Adidas unveiled three more colorways to come — "Home":
"Cargo":
And "Gila Monster":
Overall, I dig the aesthetic of the shoe, although none of these colorways particularly knock me off my feet. I am looking forward to what's to come, however, and I really like Harden's logo on the tongue. How about you?
