Hornets sign Pargo, Mensah-Bonsu

Free-agent guard Jannero Pargo is returning to New Orleans, and the Hornets also signed forward Pops Mensah-Bonsu on Friday. Details of the contracts weren't released.

Pargo has played in the NBA for seven seasons, averaging 6.6 points and 2.0 assists in 379 games with the Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls, Toronto Raptors and New Orleans. He spent two seasons with the Hornets from 2006-08, where he averaged 8.6 points and 2.4 assists over 162 games.

Mensah-Bonsu has played in the NBA for three seasons. He signed a two-year contract with the Dallas Mavericks before the 2006-07 season and appeared in 12 games, averaging 2.4 points and 1.8 rebounds. He went overseas the next season, playing with the Italian team Bennetton Treviso and then the Spanish ACB team DKV Joventut before he joined the Austin Toros, the San Antonio Spurs D-League affiliate. Last season, he played for Houston, Toronto and CSKA Moscow.
