Garnett ejected after two quick techs

Kevin Garnett was ejected from Boston's game against the New York Knicks after picking up two technical fouls in the second quarter.

Boston's Jermaine O'Neal was called for an offensive rebounding foul, and was whistled for a tech after questioning the call for too long. Meanwhile, Garnett was near midcourt and said something to referee Kane Fitzgerald, who issued him a technical foul.

Fitzgerald turned and walked away, then quickly turned back and threw Garnett out after the Celtics' All-Star kept talking.

NBA players have been warned this season that officials will call more technical fouls for overt gestures, as well as being too demonstrative and lingering too long to question calls.
