Evan Turner trash talks Danny Ainge at OSU number retirement

Evan Turner had one of the best basketball careers at Ohio State. He's followed that up with one of the low-key funniest NBA careers, based on his pre and postgame commentary. Tuesday night, Turner, now a Celtics wing, combined those two together.

OSU retired Turner's jersey Tuesday and during his acceptance speech, the former National Player of the Year, who hits free agency this summer, directed a little piece of commentary at Celtics general manager Danny Ainge, via ESPN:

"I just want to thank you once again. And Danny Ainge, thanks for coming. In July, you can pay me all you want," Turner joked.

This seems pretty in character for a guy who created and sold t-shirts with himself replacing Jerry West as the NBA logo. It's even more in character for someone who actually wore that t-shirt in public. Turner's always churning out funny quips. Just add this one to the list.
