Draymond Green threw out the first pitch before the San Francisco Giants’ playoff game.

All of the teams in the Bay Area support each other on social media. When one of the teams clinches a playoff berth, they use #BayAreaUnite to show solidarity with their neighbors. The San Francisco Giants are now in the middle of their run and the Golden State Warriors are there for them.

The Warriors are looking to establish a dynasty and the Giants are trying to cement theirs. Draymond Green threw out the first pitch before Game 4 of the NLDS between the Giants and the Chicago Cubs. He sported his very own no. 23 home jersey with his name across the back.

With preseason in full swing, Green is definitely in basketball mode. He took the mound and bounced his first pitch. But it’s ok–it had a lot of late movement and a batter would have definitely swung at it.

Before the game, the All-Star power forward met with two of the greatest to ever do it. He met with Willie Mays who gave him some pointers on how to throw the ball. He then met with Willie McCovey, the Hall of Fame first baseman. Green told “Stretch” that he also played first base.

Green’s pitch wasn’t great by baseball standards. But it was a perfect bounce pass that his teammates will definitely look forward to getting easy looks off of those dimes.
