DeAndre Jordan on Mavs crowd: 'I thought it was going to be a lot worse'

The Dallas Mavericks may have gotten the last laugh in their Wednesday night reunion with Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan, but Jordan got a shot in of his own.
When asked about the boos and heckles he received from the American Airlines Center's crowd, Jordan said it wasn't as bad as he expected, according to the Orange County Register:
"It was fine. I thought it was going to be a lot worse, honestly. But it was cool. …They’re obviously going to boo and heckle a little bit, but I thought it was going to be a lot worse. Ultimately, we came out here to win a basketball game and that was it.”
It's unclear how much truth there is to Jordan's claim. Mavericks fans booed him during introductions and any time he touched the ball, and came up with creative signs, even comparing the validity of his word to his infamously poor free-throw shooting.
Jordan wasn't the only Clipper to criticize the Mavericks' crowd. Austin Rivers called the Mavericks fans "disrespectful," while his father, head coach Doc Rivers, called the crowd "polite as they could be."
Wednesday's game is finally in the past, but with the bad blood on both sides clearly still there, the DeAndre-Dallas saga is far from over.
