Davis leads Pelicans over Magic, 99-95

Anthony Davis scored 29 points and the New Orleans Pelicans remained unbeaten in three preseason games with a 99-95 victory over the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night.

The Pelicans made eight straight free throw attempts over the final 90 seconds to hold off a late charge by the Magic. Orlando used an 11-0 run to pull within 91-89 with 1:33 left.

Austin Rivers made two free throws, Brian Roberts hit four and Anthony Morrow added two in the final 19 seconds as the Pelicans won their third game in five days.

Nikola Vucevic and Tobias Harris scored 17 points each for Orlando in its preseason opener.
