Clippers' Redick to host weekly podcast
NEW YORK (AP) Maybe J.J. Redick will tell the story of Blake Griffin's fight in Toronto.
Redick will become the first active NBA player to host a regular podcast, it was announced Wednesday.
''The Vertical Podcast with JJ Redick'' will debut Tuesday and publish new episodes each Tuesday.
The Los Angeles Clippers guard says in a statement it will give fans a ''deeper dive into the lifestyle and the personalities not just of the NBA, but of other athletes, entertainers and business leaders'' who have influenced the former Duke star.
The partnership between Yahoo and DGital Media is part of ''The Vertical Podcast with Woj,'' an on-demand audio series featuring Yahoo Sports NBA reporter Adrian Wojnarowski that recently debuted. It will be available on iTunes, Stitcher and the TuneIn audio platform.
Redick's podcast announcement comes just days after the Clippers lost his teammate, Griffin, for at least four weeks after he broke his hand punching an equipment manager.
