Cliff Alexander to play for Nets in summer league

By Dan Lyons
Just a year ago, Cliff Alexander was a Kansas-bound five-star recruit, and one of the five best players in the loaded 2014 recruiting class. After a brief, rocky Kansas career, Alexander was not selected in Thursday night’s NBA Draft. Now, he must try to latch on with a team and show out this summer if he wants to make a roster for the fall, which is no easy task.
Alexander’s NBA career will reportedly begin with the Brooklyn Nets, who selected Syracuse’s Chris McCullough and traded for Arizona’s Rondae Hollis-Jefferson on Thursday.

Alexander retweeted this report, confirming his landing spot. He certainly has plenty of potential, and the Nets can use help in the post. Alexander will have to show a lot more than he did in Lawrence this summer, however.
