LOS ANGELES (AP) Chris Paul has been ruled out for the Los Angeles Clippers' game against Houston due to a sore right groin.

The All-Star guard got hurt in the fourth quarter of Wednesday's 112-108 loss at Golden State. Coach Doc Rivers says he expects Paul to be out one game.

Paul is averaging 17 points and 8.2 assists through five games this season.

Rivers' son, Austin, will make his first start of the season in Paul's place on Saturday night.
