Channing Frye takes indefinite leave from Cavaliers after mother's passing

Cleveland Cavaliers forward Channing Frye was excused from the team on Friday to address a "personal matter", and has been granted an indefinitely leave of absence.
Per a statement released by the Cavaliers:
"Channing Frye’s mother, Karen Mulzac-Fyre, lost a long battle with cancer last night and passed away. The entire Cavs organization expresses their deepest sympathies to Channing and his family during this very difficult time.
Status: Channing did not travel with the team to Toronto yesterday for the Cavaliers game against the Raptors tonight and will not be with the team in Cleveland for the home game vs. Orlando Saturday night. His status will be updated as appropriate."
Our condolences go out to Channing Frye and his family as they deal with this difficult situation.
