Celtics' Wilcox fined for gesture

Chris Wilcox of the Boston Celtics has been fined $25,000 by the NBA for making an obscene gesture toward fans during a game.

The incident occurred with 8:47 left in regulation during the Celtics' 95-94 overtime loss at Philadelphia on Friday night when the "Kiss Cam" panned over to Boston's bench.

After reportedly greeting fans with his middle finger, Wilcox was serenaded by boos and received a scolding from an assistant coach.

The league announced the fine on Sunday.
