Cavs' Zeller out with concussion

Published Nov. 7, 2012 12:00 a.m. ET

Cavaliers rookie center Tyler Zeller will be out indefinitely with a concussion and broken cheekbone.

Zeller was elbowed in the face by Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan in the fourth quarter of Monday's game. The Cavs said tests taken in San Francisco revealed Zeller sustained a non-displaced fracture of his left orbital cheekbone. He has been placed in the NBA's concussion protocol process.

The Cavs said there is ''no specific timeline'' for Zeller's return and that he will continue to be monitored and evaluated. He will not play Wednesday night as Cleveland continues a six-game road trip against the Golden State Warriors.

The first-round draft pick from North Carolina scored a season-high 15 points with seven rebounds in 24 minutes before he was injured in Cleveland's 108-101 win.
