Carmelo: At least Knicks haven't 'crumbled,' thanks to Fisher

The New York Knicks dropped their 10th in a row on Friday with a 97-81 loss to the Detroit Pistons, a game that All-Star Carmelo Anthony sat out because of a troublesome knee. With their second 10-game losing streak of the season, the Knicks have lowered their record to 5-30.

But don't think they're crumbling. Anthony said earlier this week that rookie head coach Derek Fisher is keeping the Knicks together.

"I think if it was anybody else in his position, I think this probably would've crumbled already," Anthony said, as reported by ESPN.com. "I think he's doing a great job of keeping everybody focused on the task at hand and believing in what we're trying to do."

Now, the snarky thing to do would be to ask just what it is that Anthony considers crumbling, if 5-30 doesn't qualify, or wonder how much worse would the Knicks' record be if they weren't focused.

But we won't do that.
