Burke scores 17 to lead Jazz to 98-78 win over Nuggets

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) Trey Burke scored 17 and Rudy Gobert had 14 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Utah Jazz to a 98-78 preseason win over the Denver Nuggets on Thursday night.

Danilo Gallinari had 19 points and Gary Harris added 13 for Denver, which finished 4-3 in the preseason.

Jazz: Brazilian rookie Raul Neto had 10 points, including two 3s, for his best scoring game of the preseason. . Gobert missed his first five free throws attempts. . Shot 54 percent and ended the preseason at 3-4.

Nuggets: Regular starters Emmanuel Mudiay (hamstring), Joffrey Lauvergne (back) and Wilson Chandler (hip) sat out the preseason finale.

Hot start: The Jazz started Neto at point guard and jumped out to a 14-0 lead. The Nuggets didn't score until Gallinari's layup with 6:36 left in the first quarter. Jazz led by as many as 27.

Up next: Nuggets open the regular season Wednesday at Houston. Utah starts at Detroit on Wednesday.
