Bobcats PG Walker expected to play; MRI negative

Published Nov. 6, 2013 5:37 p.m. ET

Charlotte Bobcats coach Steve Clifford says an MRI on Kemba Walker's shoulder was negative and he expects the third-year point guard to play Wednesday night against the Toronto Raptors.

Walker injured his shoulder Tuesday night against the New York Knicks when he ran into Metta World Peace during Charlotte's victory.

Walker had X-rays at the arena and returned in the second half.

Clifford says center Al Jefferson will miss his fourth game for the Bobcats because of an ankle injury but could return Friday night when the Bobcats host the Knicks.
