Barkley sounds off on Ferguson, calls looters 'scumbags'

Former 76er Charles Barkley got on the phone with Mike Missanelli of 97.5 The Fanatic last week to defend Philadelphia's now 0-17 team from becoming a national punchline ("I think they're getting better").

The conversation then veered toward the events that transpired in Ferguson, Missouri, after a grand jury's decision not to indict police officer Darren Wilson after the shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown. 

NBA Hall of Famer and current analyst Barkley, never one to skirt controversy, was vocally critical of the knee-jerk reactions that occurred after the decision, as well as the media's portrayal of the events:

Barkley also said the public had to be careful in its blanket condemnation of the police, and make sure to look at all the facts before jumping to conclusions:
