Yankees agree to deal with Ayala

Reliever Luis Ayala has agreed to terms on a minor league deal with the New York Yankees.

The 33-year-old Ayala last pitched in the majors for Minnesota and Florida in 2009. The right-hander went 2-10 with a 6.42 ERA in 36 Triple-A games with three different organizations last season.

Ayala will get an invitation to major league spring training.
