CHICAGO (AP) The Chicago White Sox have activated Avisail Garcia from the 60-day disabled list and placed fellow outfielder Moises Sierra on the 15-day DL because of a strained left oblique.

Garcia is set to hit fourth and play right field Saturday against Toronto.

The White Sox also designated left-hander Charlie Leesman for assignment, placed right-hander

Javy Guerra on the bereavement list and recalled lefty Eric Surkamp from Triple-A Charlotte.

Garcia went on the disabled list April 10 for a torn labrum in his left shoulder. Originally considered to be out for the season, Garcia had a successful rehabilitation assignment with Charlotte, hitting .340 in 13 games.

Sierra exited Friday's 11-5 victory over Toronto with an injury. He is batting .289.

Leesman went 2-6 with a 4.10 ERA in 14 games at Triple-A. He allowed six runs in 2 2-3 innings in one game with the White Sox.
