San Diego Padres recalled reliever Tayron Guerrero

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 9:58 p.m. ET

MILWAUKEE (AP) The San Diego Padres recalled reliever Tayron Guerrero from Triple-A El Paso, adding an arm to the bullpen after a 12-inning game Saturday night.

The Padres made the move before the game Sunday against the Milwaukee Brewers, with Guerrero expected to arrive before first pitch. Right-hander Leonel Campos was optioned back to El Paso to complete the move.

Padres manager Andy Green used eight pitchers in Saturday's 8-7 victory, including two scoreless innings from Campos to pick up his first career win. He was recalled on Saturday to provide bullpen depth after a hamstring injury sent Andrew Cashner to the disabled list.

Guerrero has not appeared in a major league game yet.
