DENVER (AP) The Colorado Rockies have recalled right-hander David Hale from Triple-A Albuquerque.

Hale was on the 15-day disabled list with a left groin strain from July 10 to Aug. 18. He made two starts before being optioned to Albuquerque on Aug. 23.

He began the season on the 15-day DL with a strained left oblique. He was brought up twice as the 26th man for two doubleheaders before being recalled June 8.

Hale, who was acquired from Atlanta in the offseason, is 3-5 with a 6.15 ERA in 11 games - 10 starts - for the Rockies this year.
