Rockies designate Jorge Rondon for assignment

SAN DIEGO (AP) The Colorado Rockies designated right-hander Jorge Rondon for assignment Saturday and called up left-hander Ken Roberts from Triple-A Albuquerque.

On Friday night in a loss to the San Diego Padres, Rondon didn't retire any of the eight batters he faced, allowing five hits, two walks and a run. He exited with a 90.00 ERA after two outings.

Roberts had a 3.27 ERA in six appearances for Albuquerque.
