Robinson Cano left Saturday’s Angels-Mariners game after being hit in the head between innings.

The Angels were warming up defensively prior to the start of the seventh inning and someone sailed a throw over first baseman Albert Pujols’ head. The ball went into the Mariners’ dugout and nailed Cano in the head. The Mariners second baseman was just hanging out by the dugout railing when he got popped.

Cano looked woozy and was examined by doctors. He later exited the game and walked into the clubhouse for further treatment.

Cano had quite the bump on his noggin after being hit:

The second baseman is undergoing concussion protocol.
