Nick Swisher reportedly is on his way back to the New York Yankees on a minor-league deal, according to multiple reports.

The 35-year-old slugger was released by the Atlanta Braves in late March, despite being owed $15 million this season.
Swisher played for the Yankees from 2009-2012, hitting 105 homers.
In 76 games last season with the Cleveland Indians and Braves, Swisher hit .196 with six homers and 25 RBI. He has been plagued by injuries the past two seasons, though he hit at least 20 homers in every season from 2005 through 2013.
Swisher would provide much-needed depth behind Mark Teixeira at first base for New York, which lost backup Greg Bird to season-ending shoulder surgery in February.
