Reds' Bruce has HR upheld on review

Jay Bruce had his second homer of the game upheld after an umpires' review.

Bruce hit a solo shot to center field in the fifth inning Saturday, putting the Reds up 4-1 over Milwaukee. Lorenzo Cain leaped to the top of the wall to try to catch the ball, which deflected off a fan's glove as it came down. Brewers manager Ken Macha argued for fan interference.

Following a 2-minute, 35-second review, crew chief and plate umpire Tim Welke signaled it was a home run. Bruce also had a two-run shot in the third inning.

Bruce clinched the NL Central title for Cincinnati on Tuesday night with his game-ending homer in the ninth inning for a 3-2 win over Houston.
