Rays minor leaguer suspended 50 games for drug violation

NEW YORK (AP) A minor league outfielder for the Tampa Bay Rays has been suspended 50 games for a drug violation.

The commissioner's office said Monday that 20-year-old Jeremy Hadley had been penalized after testing positive for an amphetamine.

Hadley was on the roster of the rookie level Gulf Coast League Rays.
