Pirates' Tabata leaves game with hamstring injury

Published Apr. 30, 2011 9:48 p.m. ET

Pittsburgh Pirates left fielder Jose Tabata left Saturday night's game at Colorado in the first inning after his right hamstring tightened up as he ran out a grounder.

Tabata hit a groundball to shortstop and as he ran down the line, he appeared to begin favoring his right leg, limping slightly as he made his way back to the dugout

Tabata entered the game batting .245 with three home runs and six RBIs. He was replaced by Matt Diaz.
