Charlie Morton isn't quite ready to rejoin the Pirates rotation just yet, but he is getting close.

The right-hander has been on the Disabled List since Spring Training, but has been rehabbing in Florida.

Morton threw a bullpen session Monday and it sounds as if it went well.

“All in all, I think it was a positive outing,” Pirates manager Clint Hurdle said. “I think the reps were good, the volume of pitches was good. He had a very candid, open conversation with [pitching coach Ray Searage]. We watched the video.”
