Papelbon finds most awkward time to ask new teammate Storen for advice

Jonathan Papelbon made an instant impact with the Washington Nationals on Thursday, earning his first save in his first appearance since being acquired from the Philadelphia Phillies.

And Papelbon, who sometimes irked teammates, fans and the media while with the Phillies, seems to be going out of his way to make a good impression on his teammates.

Papelbon apparently asked reliever Drew Storen — the man whose closer job he took upon his arrival — for some advice. And in typical Papelbon fashion, it was a wee bit awkward.

"I was in the shower with Storen and said to him, `Can you show me that slider grip?'" Papelbon told reporters, according to The Associated Press. "He was really, really good."

And there you have it.
