Orioles place Jason Garcia on DL, recall Mike Wright

BALTIMORE (AP) Right-hander Jason Garcia has been placed on the 15-day disabled list by the Baltimore Orioles, who recalled right-hander Mike Wright from Triple-A Norfolk.

Baltimore said Wednesday that Garcia has right shoulder tendinitis. His DL stint was made retroactive to Monday.

Garcia, 22, made his major league debut April 8 at Tampa Bay and has a 5.93 ERA over 13 2-3 innings and eight games.

Wright, 25, is 3-0 with a 2.64 ERA is six starts at Norfolk, striking out 30 in 30 2-3 innings.
