Minnesota Twins second baseman Brian Dozier has very rapidly become one of the most dangerous hitters in all of baseball. On Monday, Dozier mashed three home runs in a loss to the Royals, his 36th, 37th and 38th of the season.

On Tuesday, Dozier launched a home run into deep left at Target Field, extending his home-run streak to five games.

Dozier hit a career high 28 home runs in 2015, but he's up to 39 already this season, the second-most in Major League Baseball. Dozier's hit nine home runs in his last eight games and 21 in his last 35 - the most in a 35-game span since Shawn Green did it in 2002 according to MLB. Dozier had just 75 career homers over four seasons before 2016, and he's already hit 52 percent of that total through 134 games.
