Cleveland Indians catcher Lou Marson has a cervical-neck strain, the result of a home-plate collision.
Marson left in the fourth, one inning after Tampa Bay's Desmond Jennings collided with him in Saturday night's game.
Jennings tried to score from third on Matt Joyce's grounder, but Marson held on to third baseman Lonnie Chisenhall's throw for the out.
Designated hitter Carlos Santana replaced Marson, which meant that starting pitcher Trevor Bauer was inserted into the lineup. Bauer struck out in the fifth.
