Mariners' Dae-Ho Lee drills TV camera lens with line drive

Published Jun. 17, 2016 9:45 a.m. ET

Television cameras are expensive, so getting a baseball lined at one can be costly for the owner of the equipment. Dae-Ho Lee of the Seattle Mariners nearly obliterated the lens of one during Thursday's game as he lined a ball directly at the camera.

It made for a cool yet terrifying shot and an extremely loud noise, which surely frightened the guy operating it.

Fortunately, it appeared as though the camera (and the man behind it) were OK and unharmed. Lee was also fine as he went 2-for-3 with three RBIs, moving his average to .298 on the year.
